Some More Delve Improvements

I don’t get those complaining that sulphite acquisition is tedious and repetitive, and that they just want to delve. If anything, it’s the devles that are tedious and repetitive. Let’s follow a crawler down a winding tunnel, where everything to kill is always in front of you, to a room where you click an object to start an encounter, that for all intents and purposes is an Elreon encounter that you wish would end before it does, for a loot explosion that mostly drops nothing. Rinse, repeat, in the hope the random node, in the random direction you chose will reveal a node to an encounter that you want or need to travel to in order to complete a challenge.

Delve was fun in the beginning. Now, everything about it is repetitive, tedious, and boring. Takes too long to acquire sulphite. Then when you have it, you waste it running a bunch of mind numbing tunnels, to Elreon encounters, praying at some point RNG will reveal a node to an encounter you want to travel to and play.

This league I’m pretty much done. I’ll log in here and there and play, but zero effort will be put forth to completing more challenges. The RNG to find the fun content is ridiculous. It’s been this way for several leagues now. If this continues, my player retention is going to diminish. I like to get the 36+ challenges. For the most part, I always do. But Beastiary was a flop and I pretty much skipped the league. Incursion was nice, until I looked over the challenges and decided to much RNG and quit. Delve’s RNG is pretty much just as bad or worse than Incursion, but as I skipped the last two leagues, I kind of wanted some POE play time, which I got. But now I’m back to being put off by the RNG.

Again, if the ridiculous challenge RNG doesn’t change, blocking the fun, gating the new playable content, my hit it hard every new league for 4 to 5 weeks, complete the 36+ challenges, take a break until the next league, rinse, repeat… is going to turn into not coming back at all. I am not going to spend more than 4 to 5 weeks in a league doing the challenges. I need a break between leagues. And the fun for me is playing the new content and completing the challenges for the cosmetic rewards. If you are going to gate my fun with RNG and try to force me to play longer and/or more than I want to play, I’m just not going to play. Attempting to make me play more than I want, turns the game into a job. I don’t want to work. I want to have fun. It’s a game. Not a job.

This is exactly why I play PoE less and less each league now.

At top of this my 3 main PoE issues:

- 10% exp after death in softcore
- lack of mail / npc delivery auction system
- lack of QoL solutions to prevent carpal tunnel hand syndrome and health problems

I think you guys completely missed the point on the costs of delves vs. sulphite gathering. Even at low tiers the cost of lvl 100 delves being 1-2 maps for 2-4 delve nodes depending on current layout is just silly and way to restricting, imo.

imo, yeah because we all want to NOT try and kill a boss who.. oh right, only start to appear after delve 250. Why would I not want to go deeper when I can do delve below 100 that feels like t1-5 maps :^)

we shouldn't have to win the lottery in order to experience the content, the content should be the reward of progressing to the point we CAN face the content.

Winner! This statement sums up the most critical flaw in POE quite succinctly. Well said.
There are two types of POE players:
1) Those who want to walk uphill both ways barefoot on broken glass wearing a blindfold
2) F*cking noobs

I identify as transnational Chinese. May I have access to their QOL features, please?

What would it take for u guys to stop gating content? Seriously, I'm tired of this bs. Not all of us have 15 hrs a day to slog through mundane content to have that brief 15-20 mins experience of fun content.
If sulphite was easier to gain, as it was before the nerf, then the majority of the playerbase would delve all the time, and few people would map.
Leaving the entire map system largely obsolete.

So long as you're running red maps (and no, it's not difficult to sustain them, tier 15/16 maybe, but you can get a lot of sulphite in tiers 11-13), you'll be gaining what I think is a fair amount of sulphite.

Some people are going so far as to demand a complete sulphite removal, allowing you to effectively delve for free.

So you're getting loot, currency and exp with an investment of absolutely fuck all. How does that make sense?

Delving is mostly fine as it is now. It might require a bit more balancing and QoL improvements, but it's not nearly as bad as you people make it out to be.
And your desire to be able to completely ignore maps and just delve 100% of the time is perplexing.

Yeah man.. totally! Only 1 problem. Everybody who farming Delve while chaining T16 ARE ignoring Atlas. They only run City Square because it's literally a small square to constantly and quickly farm Sulphite while getting return with magic find.

But some of us don't have that kind of time. Some who do support GGG and guess what, they get their money by working on jobs can't enjoy this league casually. What about them? Think they having fun farming maps for 2-3 hours to Delve for 20 minutes?
