Mana problems are either a thing or not a concern at all, there's no middle ground.

Your rings & amulet can all hold -9 mods. That would make a difference for sure.

Also, you can spec into the reduced mana reservation nodes on the tree next to charisma and leadership.

Lastly, I'm using a watcher's eye with chance to regain mana when you use a skill while affected by Clarity. That will completely refill my mana pool whenever it kicks in, and it tends to proc about 1 in 10, which means I'm never out.

I'd start with respeccing your tree, it's essentially free. Then I'd work on rings / amulet. Watcher's eye is the most expensive option.


Yeah I got -mana cost on my amulet and rings and it has made a pretty big difference. Thinking about respeccing out of some points to push into Charisma and other mana boosting nodes, but I'd be sacrificing a decent chunk of DPS I think.


Loving the build. Have been able to map like a king with the build and take down Sirus a few times now (not deathless yet but that is my next goal). Just wondering if you can take a quick peek and see what slots I could easily upgrade? Goal would be to be better at bossing. I'm trying to learn mechanics more than anything since this is my 1st league. I feel like a I have decent defense at 4.8k life and 2k energy shield. Capped resistances. Have about 10 ex budget to work with. Thanks in advance.

You've hit all the high points already... consider an amulet with +gems, gloves with more attack speed, see if you can fit in a vaal haste for bosses. Lab enchants on gloves, boots, and helm. Anoint your rings for Cassia blight missions. Lastly, consider crafting or buying outright the endgame bow.

How to increase survivability? I have some trouble with bosses.
I did two Zana's maps which had some Shaper influenced boss. One did lightning damage and another did some yellow damage (I think physical?). I ran out of flasks to use cause they dont summon minions. Not sure if it's because of my gear or simply because it's my first time against them and I dont know their attack pattern.

Is it worth it to replace Mirage Archer with Damage on Full Life? Since getting my last asc. points I notice my life not really dropping much(and if it does I can usually heal back up pretty fast). On the flip side, Mirage Archer appears to be pretty strong in the DPS calculations. If not Mirage Archer, would it be worth replacing any of the other green gems, or would it only be replacing Efficacy(if worth replacing at all)?

Watcher's eye boosts your chance of surviving from the increase to life & energy shield. You could try for better life / ES rolls on rings, amulets, gloves, and quiver as well. Those ES numbers... are they in town, or in hideout with Disc. up? I'm sitting at 3k ES which is one of the biggest reasons why I'm still comfortable running damage on full life.

Shaper bosses... sounds like Shaper guardians? Those are tough, they have multiple phases, and don't spawn minions to recharge flasks. I save my flasks for the last phase, or I'll use them once for P2 and once for P3. Phase 1 is the easiest, so I'm ok with not popping flasks for that. Knowing the fight helps a lot on those as well.

As for rings, I use these two:


The other combo I've used was the one that gives fire towers stun. Basically any combination that lets you slow down the critters, our DPS will melt them as long as they can't run to the pump.

Damage calcs are explained in the guide, near the end, in the section about bow crafting. Short version... APS * 1.4 * DOT figure from Path of Building * Skill Effect Duration from Path of Building. Tooltip in game is misleading at best. The numbers you've posted should be several million chaos DPS, which should be good enough... but it's worthwhile to run the calculation using number from PoB.

The only affix I'd really care about from a W.E. is bleed immunity. Anything else that helps is a bonus.

No. Mirage Archer is a massive convenience boost, killing things without any input from you. Plus it lets you maintain fire on bosses while running around... or away.

Best gem setup if you can maintain full life IMO is Toxic Rain - Mirage Archer - Vicious Projectiles - Void Manipulation - Damage on Full Life - Empower. Replace VP and VM with awakened versions if you have the spare currency.

I didnt focus too much on ES, but it feels like HP should at least be breaking 4k.

Finally figured it out. It's Acrobatics - 30% less ES. I scrapped Acro early on and swapped from Queen of the Forest to The Perfect Form for free Phase Acro. Then a couple weeks ago, I picked up the jewel node just above Acro, a Thread of Hope jewel with small radius, put that in and picked up Phase Acro that way, then swapped from The Perfect Form to Carcass Jack. That way I still get the phase acro, but without the lower ES from Acro.

3.9k life is fine. Mine isn't even that high - I'm running 3.7k. With that, 3k ES, Ghost Dance and Escape Artist, I rarely get hit, and when I do, it's almost never a 1 shot. It's been good enough that I only carry a life flask for Sirus fights.

Hey, I really love your build.
Have tried it this league and its awesome and super-tanky (not facetanking but it provides a huge boost to make some mistakes during fight, or miss some dangerous skills)
dps is also very very good, and the main part - effectiveness of dps is also high - you can runout some dangerous things and still do damage, thats great option.

Now I'm on 3.6k hp\2.7k es in HO, and really looking for grabbing more es, cause i really rarely get hit, and during decent map I barely see my HP is going down, only ES.

Have a question about some balancing things:
-Using a Maloneys, but what if I change to COH ring and then swap maloney to chaos dmg quiver? Where I can gain frenzy charges then?
-Its quite impossible to find\make vertex with +1 pods, or I should run 100x labs per day, thats bad. Can't find alternative like rare helm, cause +1 to enlighten is crucial. Otherwise I'll face real mana issues.
-Trying to craft amulet with +gems, already have a base with chaos damage suffix and 2 resistances, I can lock them and scour shitty prefixes and try to hunter-exalt spam it till get +gem? Looks pretty expensive, modlock is 2ex, hunter orb is 2.5. Even if I'm reaaaally lucky its 5ex per try, and I'm not lucky at all. So it could be 20-40ex till I slam +gem. Thoughts?

PS dunno how to attach items to post, but I hope I crafted a decent bow.
