Something inexistent in PoE

Presently yes. It existed pre-delve.

Then perhaps all the other challenges require more than, I dunno, having fun? I went all the way up to tier 9 maps before I called it quits and I did quite a bit of harvest. sure I didn't do tier 2 seeds cause it takes a long time to get enough tier 2 seeds to do a full t2 crop. Again it is still garbage.

Here's some stuff I made for myself with Harvest crafts. I wouldn't even consider attempting to craft these without harvest. But keep telling us how you planted 4 seeds and got to t9 maps and didn't enjoy it. It's like you walked into a restaurant and didn't eat anything and posted a review.

And I supposed those took you... let's see, 10 minutes of your "casual" time.

Get outta here, you are up there with the 1% of players who can craft anything they want day 3 of the league because they spend the entire day on the game and can do content in less than nothing.

Casual my ass.

ok enough with the harvest topic, i regret taking the bait. Talk about sirius or dont post please. We have already derailed this thread enough.
While you are right, what more is there to say about?

The fight is garbage. It was developed around the 1% top players and it's made for them, even though this is part of maping. The most core experience. Instead of making things like atziri or uber elder (now that he is not part of maping) the hardcore fights, no it's gotta be the one and only thing that it shouldn't, Sirius.

He has too much HP, he off screen, he has the storms that sometimes still block the entrance, he has degens that are ridiculous, he oneshots anything regardless of how much HP it has, the color palete make everything hard to see, the warnings are insuficient for most people to have time to dodge (combined with offscreening for maximum disrespect of everyone's time), he has several phases which artificially prolong the fight in a not fun way.

All of this was already said, it's a garbage boss made by people who do not have even the smallest idea of what balance is or what they should be balancing around to begin with.

And yeah there are people who think this is right and they are just wrong. The point of a game is to be fun! If a game is inflicting frustation on the majority of the player base to the point that 40% give up in the first week, that alone shows the game is not fun because it's not being balanced properly.

I think I need to upgrade my opinion from "garbage" to "has telegraphing issues that should've been fixed 2 leagues ago".

- Telegraphed attacks that you are expected to dodge should have a telegraphing range that exceeds the attack range. Sirus should not have any range culling or muffling dsp effects applied to his voice lines.

- Telegraphed attacks can't have delays that are too small to account for moderate internet lag and PoE resource streaming lag. Ie, DIE shouldn't play when/after you're hit with the beam.

For all the git gud smartasses out there, I've killed Sirus A8 deathless many times.

I have too, but at this point its more because i have done enough that is more about going through a robotic set of chores.

His orbs are good money this league and are my best shot at getting the hat i want. but I can already feel the burn out.

I imagine most players dislike Sirus since he is more waiting then fighting. Its like the innocent and crab fight but even more annoying.

For the newer players he annoying because he takes so many hours and resources to spawn and has really unforgiving damage. Combined the two and you can see why people want to quit after 2-4 attempts.

The sirus fight need to provide player more chances to practice (like how you face shaper and elder separately and can just retry whenever you have the frags).

The problem isn't just down to practice. There are several problems all being bundled up together.

First thing is he almost always goes off screen. Now players spend the first couple seconds going like, where is he? trying to dodge the quade laser on the middle and avoiding barely visible degen pools. Then they start moving around, teleporting through beams looking for him and normally not finding him.

Then he says die and not even a second later he fires the die beam. Possibly not even half a second later. Most players don't have reflexes this good, even a full second of warning is not enough for the reflexes of the vast majority of people even if they are expecting it.

Third, the beam is instant, it has no travel time and the second it touches you, you die and because he is off screen you don't even know which way you teleport even if you do have the reflexes to dodge.

The vast majority of people will just die over and over again to this with no chance to ever win based on all of these factors combined.
